The Golden State Warriors received a miracle, when Kevin Durant was cleared to play for Game 5. All the people who underestimated the Toronto Raptors were fooled. After four games, the Raptors were giving the Warriors the business.
Steph Curry and Klay Thompson proved to be no match for Kawhi Leonard and Pascal Siakam. The focus on them allowed Kyle Lowry to get into a groove. But, tonight, Kevin Durant gave Golden State the energy they have lacked, in this series.
Right when the game was getting into full swing, Kevin Durant went down with injury. The Raptors’ crowd immediately began celebrating, even as the players also looked disappointed. Since then, the Warriors have extended their lead, with DeMarcus Cousins coming in, but in real time, the fans celebrated Toronto’s title.
Kevin Durant had one fan heckling him, as he hobbled off the court, and his response had to be muted out.
