Nine years ago, Keri Hilson returned with No Boys Allowed, her highly-anticipated sophomore album. Her single, “Pretty Girl Rock,” became a huge hit. The prior year, 2009-2010, Keri Hilson was the biggest breakout R&B/pop artist in the game.

Keri Hilson decided to take a break from the industry, early in 2011, which she has continued being on. The popular singer has had some rumored romances, but nothing confirmed. Then, she went into the film industry, having a popular acting role, in 2016.

Because Keri Hilson hasn’t had a hit, since 2010-2011, one fan on Instagram tried her. Going into her IG comments, a fan told Hilson her career was over, because she hasn’t had a hit in nine years. Taking time to let the people know, Keri Hilson said that her not having a hit was due to her choosing to not create some new music, and her career is far from over.
