After years of Game being the lone major Los Angeles artist to gain stardom in the 2000s, Top Dawg Ent. began producing stars. Early in 2010, Jay Rock stole headlines after famously calling Ice Cube out. Soon, though, the spotlight would belong to K. Dot, better known to the world as Kendrick Lamar.

In 2011, Kendrick Lamar released his Section.80 album, which was met with critical acclaim. Soon, Kendrick Lamar would work with Game, featured on The R.E.D. Album on the single, “The City.” Met with critical acclaim, Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre teamed up, making him an Aftermath artist.

Mr. Peter Parker recently caught up with Kendrick Lamar when he was in Washington, DC. The two would talk about a number of topics. Among the high points of discussion came when Kendrick Lamar talked about Los Angeles, Dr. Dre, and being a part of the legendary Aftermath Entertainment. Kendrick Lamar would also speak of Eminem, who he counts as a major inspiration.
