Since the release of his album, Kendrick Lamar went up to New York City to make his media rounds. This morning, Kendrick Lamar spoke to Hot 97 with Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg, about his new album. Already, Kendrick Lamar is being compared to Nas and his classic debut album, Illmatic.

During his interview with Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg, Kendrick Lamar addressed those comments about his album being a classic. Kendrick Lamar made one thing clear, his album was not a classic. One of hip hop’s more humble artists, Kendrick Lamar feels he is not quite ready to take that title, though the critics could argue the point.
