Kendrick Lamar talks “Club Paradise” tour and “Cartoons & Cereal” [VIDEO]

Hip hop needed new life and Kendrick Lamar was among the number of artists who helped give hip hop another wind. Now, Kendrick Lamar is preparing for his official debut album, which he hopes to release later this year. The Compton rapper has been working with several West Coast hip hop legends and many current hip hop stars.

Before Kendrick Lamar made a name for himself, on the national landscape, Drake had a similar rise to the top. The two hit it off immediately and have been working together for nearly a year. Drake reached out to Kendrick Lamar, featuring him on Take Care. Taking things a step farther, Drake has included Kendrick Lamar on his Club Paradise Tour.

During a recent interview, Kendrick Lamar discussed his work with Drake and his recent work with the ever-popular Maybach Music Group. Kendrick Lamar recently worked with Gunplay, one of the original Maybach Music members, on a track. Their collaboration is called “Cartoons & Cereal” and he also discussed the single.
