Kendrick Lamar Earns Highest-Charting Song, Since 2018, With Appearance on Baby Keem’s “Family Ties” Single

Kendrick Lamar made his return a few weeks ago, as he appeared on Baby Keem’s new “Family Ties” single. Keem is signed to Lamar’s PGLang record label.

Keem has his debut studio album, “The Melodic Blue,” dropping this Friday. Ahead of this release, Family Ties is making history.

According to Billboard, this single has officially debuted at number 18, on the Hot 100 chart. It’s now Keem’s first top 40 hit, and also Lamar’s highest-charting song, since 2018.

As many know, this was the first piece of music released by Lamar, since 2018. Lamar’s fifth studio album is on the way though, as he recently announced that this will be his final project, on the TDE label.

Kendrick last album came in April 2017, with “DAMN,” which debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200, and is 3x platinum in the US. That also won a Pulitzer Prize.
