This past season, Kemba Walker took it upon himself to bring his team, the Charlotte Hornets, back to prominence. A couple of years ago, his squad was a surprise team, making the playoffs. That appearance was their second playoff appearance in twelve years.
Kemba Walker told Charlotte media he was tired of not making the playoffs and wanted to get there and make noise. Leading the Hornets to 48 wins, their best record since 2002, he did just that. The Hornets pushed the Miami Heat to the limit, before bowing out.
In the 2014-15 season, Kemba Walker was hampered by knee injuries, but was healthy for most of this season. To ensure his long-term health, he underwent knee surgery this morning and the surgery was successful. Kemba Walker is expected to return to play-related activities in July, three months before next season begins.
