Kanye West’s reps deny reports that he’s setting up fashion show for LA’s homeless

Kanye West’s reps deny that a fashion show for LA’s homeless is happening

Two days ago, TMZ reported that Kanye West wants to help the homeless in LA, in a unique way. This is by partnering with streetwear brand, Skid Row Fashion Week. The two parties supposedly wanted to get homeless people to star in a fashion show, in order to gain more opportunities.

Now, reps for Kanye have denied this report, to the New York Post. They state that this event isn’t something that’s being planned at all.

“This reported event is not on our schedule at this time nor are we aware of any product collaboration in development,” said a Kanye rep to the NYP.

The initial report stated that Kanye met up with David Sabastian, the founder of Skid Row Fashion Week. This meeting was said to have taken place over the last week, while Kanye was recording his “Donda 2” album, in L.A.’s Arts District. This alleged fashion show was supposedly planning to donate all proceeds, to homeless living in LA’s Skid Row area.

Last Thanksgiving, Kanye did meet with Reverend Troy Vaughn, CEO of L.A. Mission. At the time, Ye delivered 1,000 meals, and discussed with Vaughn on how they could start relationships with other organizations in LA. These would feature various strategies to help the city’s homeless population.
