Kanye West’s “Donda” album, is currently still the number two album, in the US. It initially debuted at number one, a few weeks ago, after being delayed three times. That was all while having three album listening events, two in Atlanta, and the last one being in his hometown of Chicago.
One of the most popular records off of Donda has been “Hurricane,” featuring Lil Baby and The Weeknd. This was originally premiered at the Atlanta listening event at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. During that time, many fans were 100% certain that this record would make the cut, on the album.
Now, Hurricane has reached a new milestone. According to Chart Data, it’s now sold over 500,000 units in the US. This now makes it eligible for an RIAA gold certification. Here, Ye and Baby both delivered their own verses, while Weeknd appeared on the chorus.
Overall, Donda has hit the gold mark as well. Despite the numerous delays in its release, it’s still regarded as one of the best projects of 2021.
