Kanye West’s “Donda” album goes platinum

Kanye West has definitely been a huge trending topic, over the last several weeks. He’s been on various dates with Julia Fox, and has also hung out with Antonio Brown, Moneybagg Yo, and The Game.

Ye made headlines today as well, as he allegedly punched a fan, who wanted an autograph. A man was seen laid out on the ground, as Kanye supposedly hit him in the neck and head. At this point, he’s facing a misdemeanor battery charge.

There is still plenty of good music news for Kanye, though. According to Chart Data, his 2020 “Donda” album is now platinum in the US. This is after selling 1 million units.

Donda initially debuted at number one, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was also Kanye’s 10th straight number one album. This project featured collaborations with stars such as The Weeknd, Lil Baby, Playboi Carti, Fivio Foreign, and Jay Z.

On Thursday, Kanye also confirmed that a Donda sequel is happening. This is after Moneybagg Yo shared a text message conversation, about a song that they’re working on, for Donda 2. It’s also rumored that a new song from Kanye could be out tonight.
