Kanye West and Joel Osteen both confirmed that West would appear at Osteen’s huge Lakewood Church in Houston this Sunday. There will be a morning service with the first 45,000 people being allowed to be seated at capacity. The evening service featuring West’s Sunday Service choir will be made available to 45,000 people as well via tickets made available on Ticketmaster for free.
West is making other moves with his choir and band in the Houston area as today, he visited Harris County Jail. Law enforcement told TMZ that he originally reached out to them on Wednesday about making this happen. West brought 100 choir and band members as they performed separately for male and female inmates.
Jail staff members were also able to see the shows as it went on for two hours. Everyone was surprised by West showing up as only a few people were made available to set it all up. As far as Sunday, the anticipation seems very real for the Sunday Service at Lakewood.
