Authenticity is a must in hip hop and this came into question over this past summer. During one of his typical Twitter rants, Meek Mill outed his friend, Drake, was someone who uses ghostwriters. This led to one of the biggest rap beefs in recent memory, with Drake winning.
More recently, Kanye West has returned to “reclaim” his throne. In his opinion, The Life of Pablo is the best album of all-time. But, Kanye West recently revealed he had some help in pulling off such a special project and it calls authenticity back into question.
Kanye West has worked closely with Drake and Future, in the past, on various project. In some tweets he put out earlier this afternoon, he revealed Drake and Future did some writing for him. This is something else for the fans to debate over.
