Growing up in Chicago as a kid during the 1990s had to be a dream come true for childhood basketball fans. In the 1990s, the Chicago Bulls took their game to the next level and Michael Jordan was the best player in the NBA. Winning championships galore, it was an amazing period of time.
Kanye West was among the children growing up in this era and he had to have been disappointed when he retired and elated when he returned. After winning their sixth title, Michael Jordan retired, again. True to form, he returned again, but with the Washington Wizards, disappointing many.
Most people don’t include Michael Jordan’s Washington run as a part of his legacy, even though sports archives do. As an older player, Michael Jordan did well when he played for the Wizards, but it was not the same to most. When Kanye West returned to Chicago and performed for the Yeezus tour, he ranted about Michael Jordan’s time with the Wizards.
