For years, Kanye West has played with the idea of changing his name. Last night, he officially did it, changing his name to “Ye.” This comes along with him debuting a unique new hairstyle.
In 2004, Kanye West released his debut album, and forever changed the landscape of hip hop. His goals, though, were to forever change music. He also had aspirations of impacting fashion, and he did that.
Kanye West is the richest rapper of all-time, and his Yeezy fashion brand is worth billions. Between managing his Adidas and Gap partnerships, he filed a petition to change his name to “Ye.” Yesterday, a Los Angeles judge approved this petition.
