Kanye West confirmed this week that that his “Donda” album is finally on the way, as he’s having a listening event at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, in Atlanta. It has been widely expected that Donda would be released at midnight that night.
During the NBA Finals, Kanye’s Beats By Dre commercial aired, where it plays a song from the Donda album. This record is “No Child Left Behind.” In this commercial, US track star, Sha’Carri Richardson, is featured, as she is seen on the track, in her uniform. This ad also confirmed that Donda will be out on July 23.
This Beats ad was aired during Game 6 of the NBA Finals between the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks, which the Bucks clinched an NBA championship in. The Donda album will also reportedly feature Lil Baby, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and more.
This was received with many positive reactions on social media, as Richardson has been a fan-favorite worldwide. Last month, she qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, A week later, she was suspended for a month, after being found to have used marijuana. The 30-day suspension still would’ve allowed time for Richardson to participate in a relay event, but shockingly, her name was left off the US roster.
