Last Thursday featured an epic event, as Kanye West held his “Donda” album listening event, in Atlanta. That took place inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with over 40,000 present. Millions of fans also tuned in on Apple Music to watch the event, as there was a live stream.
This live stream actually made history, as it broke the Apple Music Global Livestream record, with 3.3 million viewers, according to TMZ. This broke the record set by the Jeezy-Gucci Mane Verzuz, last November. At the time, that Verzuz had 1.8 million viewers.
Songs on Donda were well received on social media, as it also included collabs with Jay Z, Lil Baby, Pusha T, Lil Durk, and more. The album didnt’ end up being released on July 23 though, its initial released date. Kanye had originally planned to put this project out last July. The new release date for Donda is reportedly August 6 now, though.
In the meantime, Kanye is currently living in Mercedes-Benz Stadium, until the Donda album is officially done. He has his own living situation there, recording studio, and private chef. Ye even attended the Atlanta United match on Saturday.
