Kanye West has been dominating headlines in the music industry lately, after the release of his 10th studio album, “Donda,” last weekend. It is currently on pace to become his ninth consecutive album, with over 350,000 units sold, in its first week.
During Ye’s “Donda” album listening event, in his hometown of Chicago, last week, Kim Kardashian was also in attendance. The estranged wife was seen in a white Balenciaga dress in the middle of Solider Field, which hinted that she and Ye may be calling off their divorce.
Reports lately have speculated that Kanye has been telling his friends within the industry that he’s back with Kim, but they don’t believe it, per Page Six. Now, additional information is surfacing, regarding possible infidelity, during their relationship. According to Page Six, Ye cheated, after the birth of their first two children.
Sources close to the outlet also stated that Kanye’s “Hurricane” song, ft. Lil Baby and The Weeknd, from the new album, had cryptic lyrics about the cheating as well. In his verse, it said:
“Here I go actin’ too rich,” said Kanye in “Hurricane.” Here I go with a new chick / And I know what the truth is / Still playin’ after two kids / It’s a lot to digest when your life always movin’.”
“The song is in a way his testimony of everything he did wrong and taking accountability for their marriage breakdown,” said a source to Page Six. If you look closer to the lyrics he is referring to his infidelity during his marriage with Kim, even after two kids.”
They continued to explain that the woman being mentioned in the lyrics isn’t Irina Shayk, the Russian model who Kanye began dating, in the spring. In “Hurricane,” Ye also voiced his struggles with alcohol abuse.
“Architectural Digest, but I needed home improvement / Sixty-million-dollar home, never went home to it. Genius gone clueless, it’s a whole lot to risk / Alcohol anonymous, who’s the busiest loser?”
As of now, Kim has continued to support Kanye’s endeavors, such as his past three Donda listening events. As far as calling off divorce, time will only tell.
