Coming into tonight’s Super Bowl, there was just as much action surrounding the halftime show, as the entire game. Of course, there are a lot of fans pushing for the Eagles to hold on and win. But, when it was announced that Justin Timberlake was performing, drama ensued.
Back in 2004, Justin Timberlake performed and, coincidentally, the same Patriots, led by Tom Brady, were playing then. Ahead of the performance, there was speculation about Janet Jackson performing with him. Yesterday, she shut all that speculation down.
Both yesterday and today were billed #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay, in protest of Justin Timberlake’s performance. Tonight, when he took the stage, JT did a heck of a job, performing his old hits. But, the Janet fans are unforgiving, and they went in on Justin, as did the Prince fans who, understandably, wanted their fave untouched.
