Jury Selection begins for Lil’ Boosie’s trial [VIDEO]

Following his run of hit singles, Lil’ Boosie was arrested and sent to prison during the summer of 2010 for plotting the 2009 murder of Terry Boyd. For nearly two years, Lil’ Boosie has been behind bars and awaiting trial. The Baton Rouge rapper is facing a life sentence and is already behind bars at the Angola State Prison.

There has been a lot of discussion about Lil’ Boosie since he has been behind bars. Boosie is one of the many rappers who have been sent to prison over the past few years. T.I., Lil Wayne, and Ja Rule have all had very high-profile prison stints. Lil’ Boosie’s legal situation, however, is more serious than the previous three rappers.

Jury selection for Lil’ Boosie’s murder trial begins today. WAFB, the local news station in Baton Rouge, has reported that 700 people have been summoned, as the jury is selected. Out of the 700 people who are at the courthouse, twelve people will be selected to be on the jury. This jury will determine the fate of Lil’ Boosie’s life.
