Julia Fox says she never dated Drake
Actress Julia Fox has been trending for all of 2022 so far, due to her dating Kanye West. The two were originally spotted on New Years’ Day, having dinner in Miami. Since then, Julia and Kanye have been seen in other cities as well, such as New York City and Los Angeles.
This week, Page Six also reported that Julia allegedly dated Drake, in the first few months of 2020. The two were said to have first interacted on Instagram, as Drake congratulated Julia on her 2019 “Uncut Gems” movie role. The two then began hanging out in NYC and LA together. Drake also supposedly bought Julia multiple Birkin bags.
Julia also reportedly went to stay with Drake, in his hometown of Toronto. She ended up having to leave soon though, due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the star actress is addressing these 2020 dating rumors.
Julia appeared on her Niki Takesh’s Forbidden Fruits podcast, and denied dating Drake. She claims that at the time, the two were simply hanging out, and had a friendship.
“He’s a great guy and a gentleman and that was it. Nothing really happened. We were just like, friends hanging out… Yeah, like I wouldn’t say that we were dating… That was fully 2020, like, two years ago.”
Julia also believes that Kanye and Drake really did squash their beef. This was evident last November, when Ye and Drake took a photo together, which also included J Prince. The Page Six report initially stated that Kanye was supposedly not happy, about the Drake dating rumors.
I feel like they’ve squashed their issues. Obviously when I first started speaking to Ye, like on the phone, I told him, like, immediately, like I think on the first day before it went and further because I’m just an honest person, I guess.”
