Hip hop is full of name dropping and punchlines. Game is one of the biggest hip hop name droppers and his former label-mate, Lloyd Banks, is a punchline king. There are times when these name drops and punchlines offend people. This tends to be the case when an actual person is mentioned.
Still respected in the rap game is the Simmons family. Currently, the family’s second generation is going strong, with Angela and Vanessa taking over fashion and Diggy with music. But, before the younger Simmons son tried his hand at rapping, Jojo Simmons did. While Jojo Simmons still raps, he has become the subject of cruel jokes, as his brother elevates.
Juelz Santana mentioned Jojo Simmons in a negative light on his God Will’N mixtape and received a response from Jojo. Surprised, Juelz Santana has laughed it off, as he is signed to the label his Uncle Russell founded, Def Jam. Speaking on the situation, Juelz Santana questioned if he had gotten “Punk’d.”
