Juelz Santana Denied Request For Miami Trip After Reported Failed Drug Test and Attempting To Travel With Convicted Felons

Juelz Santana has been on a tight leash after being released from prison in August 2020. This is after he was sentenced to 27 months in prison for having a loaded firearm at a New Jersey airport. He ended up only spending 17 months, though.

The Dipset rapper is running into some issues legally now as well, though. According to TMZ, he recently wanted to go to Miami for work but, the feds shut that down after a reported failed drug test. Court documents state that Santana wanted to go to Miami for work. After the drug test results were released though, a judge put an end to the request.

Another issue with the Miami trip was that Santana planned to travel with two convicted felons. This doesn’t comply with supervised release requirements and the Assistant U.S Attorney also added that his urine sample tested positive for opiates and methadone. Santana’s team believes that the test was a false positive, though.

Santana has to remain in New Jersey in general. When requesting to travel, those have to get approved by a judge as part of the listed supervised release conditions. Santana’s attorney, Jef Henninger, has since said that Santana will abide by the rules needed to be able to travel and will be around “the right people.”
