A few weeks back, R. Kelly’s girlfriend and alleged sex slave, Joycelyn Savage, posted a video on Instagram announcing that she’d be posting episodes on her new Patreon account. These would go on to detail what she’d been through with R. Kelly.
Now, after rumors of an imposter running the Patreon account, that is confirmed, according to Savage. According to TMZ, she posted a very lengthy video of herself saying how she’s not running the account. Savage has no ties to the account and hasn’t turned her back on Kelly. The Instagram account making the Patreon announcement also wasn’t ran by Savage either.
This video looks very scripted as this looked to be the case in the past after reports that she was being held against her will by Kelly. She denies ever being abused by Kelly. She even still communicates with him all the time. Azriel Clary has also been rumored to be held against her will.
Savage’s family’s attorney, Gerald Griggs, Delaware a statement regarding the fake Patreon account.
“We’re saddened and disappointed to learn that Joycelyn Savage has said that she was not the person operating the Patreon account. We deeply desired to hear her story and in her own voice outside of the presence of Robert Sylvester Kelly or anyone associated with him. For nearly three years, Joycelyn Savage has not been able to speak outside of a controlled environment created by Mr. Kelly. Her video today was not any different.”
Patreon ended up deleting the account prior to this new video as they couldn’t verify the identity of Savage. As far as Kelly goes, he’s still in prison without bail as he’s facing sex crimes as he’s been charged in New York, Minnesota, and his home state of Illinois.
