Jordan Brand Chairman, Larry Miller, wishes Kanye West stayed with Nike instead of adidas, and hopes to collaborate with West

Jordan Brand Chairman wants to collaborate with Kanye West

Over a decade ago, Kanye West was already seeing massive success, in the sneaker industry. His own sneakers were being released under Nike, but later went on to sign with adidas. Ye’s old Nike Air Yeezy sneakers still sell for massive prices, along with his current adidas Yeezy sneakers.

Now, Larry Miller, Chairman of Jordan Brand, is speaking on how he wishes that Kanye stayed with Nike. He also hopes that a possible collaboration could end up in the works again. This is during his conversation with NPR’s The Limits with Jay Williams about his new book “Jump: My Secret Journey From the Streets to the Boardroom.”

“I think he’s an incredibly creative and talented person… I wish he had stayed with Nike, that would have been great. I can’t say that will not happen, I don’t know that it will, but I can’t say that it won’t happen, that we would at some point be able to do something with Kanye. I can’t say that it’s absolutely not going to happen.”

Kanye has plenty of Yeezy sneaker releases that he’s still working on, with adidas. At this point, another Nike collaboration could be very unlikely, due to contractual obligations.
