The NFL Draft kicked off tonight and many wondered what the New York Giants would do with the sixth overall pick. For a few months now, the expectation has been NY taking Ohio State Quarterback Dwayne Haskins. He was a beast this past season as he posted 4,831 passing yards and 50 TDs.
The Giants shocked everyone by passing on Haskins for Duke QB Daniel Jones. This sent Giants fans speechless, including NY native and rapper Joe Budden. His reaction was recorded and he simply sunk to the ground after the announcement of Jones was made. You can’t blame Budden either. Haskins was regarded by some as the best QB in the draft aside from Kyler Murray, who was picked first overall by the Arizona Cardinals.
