Perhaps, Joe Budden wasn’t the first to do it, but he is the best-known for doing it. Before Joe Budden, there was no such thing as a hip hop commentator. The argument could be made that 50 Cent actually has done it for years, though.

Joe Budden took it to new heights, going as far as starting his own podcast, using his connections as a rapper to grow it. This led to his arrangement with Complex. That didn’t work out, but it opened the door to “State of the Culture,” on Revolt, with Remy Ma.

Recently, Kanye West has began doing his Sunday Service, where he goes, every Sunday, and puts on a church service. The fans have loved it, as he brought it to Coachella. Offering his opinion, Joe Budden had harsh words for Sunday Service, accusing Kanye West of justifying bigotry to sell “church merch.”
