Whew, we all know Jim Jones has never been scared to speak his mind. Jones made a comment saying “being a rapper is way harder than fighting a war in Iraq.” A veteran responded to Jones in a comment saying “I found it extremely disrespectful and ignorant. Here’s some facts, my unit which fought in Iraq 2004 lost more Marines in two months than “rappers” in the past three years. Keep talking but there’s zero comparison.” Jones responded in a long post pretty much saying veterans “chose that life”, he didn’t, he was born into it. Making a comparison that he’s seen multiple deaths of friends and family he’s grown up with, not “new friends.” Veterans have been coming for him and the hood feels they understood where Jones was coming from. Two different worlds, both in battles.
