Hip hop legend, Jermaine Dupri, is responsible for entirely changing the landscape of hip hop, and indirectly responsible for the current trends. In the mid-2000s, he had a resurgence and produced hits for some of everybody. His work with Usher and Mariah Carey sticks out.

Jermaine Dupri has made the transition to TV, like many of his peers from the 90s era. But, he maintains a lot of clout, all across the board, because of his accomplishments. Last night, JD asked a question on everybody’s mind.

Justin Bieber, who had his beginnings as a pop star, has had the support of the hip hop world, from the start. But, as he’s gotten older, he’s followed Justin Timberlake’s formula of making R&B. While hip hop embraced this, country rejected Lil Nas X for doing the same, venturing from rap into country, so JD asked why it was fine for Bieber to be up for an R&B award, but Nas X removed from the country charts… fair enough?
