The month of September 2020 got off to an odd start, in New Orleans. It was odd, due to an apartment building being burned to the ground, leaving 26 people without a home. All of this was due to a pre-law student, at Loyala University, with her back against the wall.
Currently, times are hard, with COVID-19 currently handicapping the economy. Many people are experiencing hard times, with many renters facing evictions. When a certain New Orleans pre-law student was facing eviction, she turned to drastic measures.
Jazlynn Major, age 25, of New Orleans, was recently arrested in her hometown of Huntsville, Texas. This came after she set her apartment building on fire, after facing eviction. Prior to setting the building on fire, she sent threatening text messages to her landlord, even referring to her as a “slumlord.”
