Jay-Z will host Prince’s album listening party for “Originals,” which drops on June 7

Before Prince’s death, he and Jay-Z built a kinship. At a time when there was nothing but bad press for TIDAL, Prince was one of the artists to join the partnership. The first collaboration was a concert raising money for the Baltimore riots.

Unfortunately, Prince died within a year of the partnership. Since then, his estate has gone back and forth with TIDAL. Fortunately for the streaming company, Prince’s estate has opted to continue doing business with them.

On June 7, Prince posthumously drops Originals, his newest album. A lot is planned for the listening party, as Jay-Z is going to host it. This will be the first of a few special releases, where Jay-Z will be hosting LA-based listening parties.
