He did not go all out like Kanye West and say “he don’t do no press, but gets the most press,” clearly Jay-Z does not talk to the media. There once was a time when Jay-Z was all over the place. Despite being the biggest rap star in the game, Jay-Z hated it and wanted out.
Rapping is something Jay-Z enjoys, being a star is not. Failing at retirement, Jay-Z returned and remained around for three years. Since then, Jay-Z has slowly faded away from the game. But, in 2013, Jay-Z has been more active than he has been since the promotion of The Blueprint 3.
Expanding into a few other ventures, Jay-Z recently gave a rare interview to BlackTreeTV. In addition to his “Suit & Tie” appearance, Jay-Z is serving as executive producer of The Great Gatsby, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. During his interview with BlackTreeTV, Jay-Z spoke on his role in the upcoming film.
