Jay-Z is still facing trouble with TIDAL? Reports claim the streaming service lost $44 million this year

There’s no need to try and pile in on Jay-Z, because he is a man with vision. Few people are able to see opportunities like he did, especially when it comes to the streaming. Already, Pandora and Spotify were out there, seemingly cornering the market.

Jay-Z alleged that he reached out to Spotify and didn’t like what he was told. Because of that, he purchased TIDAL and began adding many of his musical counterparts to the service. Following the high-profile launch, TIDAL has faced all kinds of bad press.

Regardless of what TIDAL accomplishes, there is always a report of the streaming service being in financial trouble. After news of Jay-Z definitely getting a huge return on his $56 million investment, there are reports of TIDAL possibly going out of business. Reports claim the company lost $44 million, in 2016, but TIDAL’s reps say the company expects to turn a profit in 2018.
