This morning, Meek Mill released Championships, his long-awaited comeback album. Not only did Meek Mill officially squash the beef he had with Drake, he also got Jay-Z and Rick Ross on a track. The song, a Biggie sample, “What’s Free?,” definitely had people talking.
Both Meek Mill and Rick Ross brought their A-game on the record, but it was Jay-Z who had people talking. All the people who tried to write him off, after The Carters, had to eat it. Plus, Jay-Z finally broke his silence on Kanye West, leading the media to hype it up as a diss.
Doing something he rarely does, Jay-Z went on Twitter to shut all that talk down. The Roc Nation CEO let it be known he was talking about people trying to pit he and Kanye against each other. His verse simply let the world know that it wasn’t going down like that.
