Jay-Z boosts value of #TIDAL to $250 million, four months after buying service for $56 million

It takes somebody to step up and making something happen on a bigger scale. Most people are going to take the nine to five route and that is perfectly okay. But, in order to have change, someone has to buck that tradition to create new businesses that are perfectly okay to work for.

Jay-Z is one of those people who thought outside of the box and went after his. While most laughed at the idea, Jay-Z knew there would come a time when he’d make $1 million a year. Now this is a reality, so Jay-Z purchased music streaming service, TIDAL, for $56 million.

Less than four months after purchasing TIDAL, Jay-Z brought in some major business partners to help make the brand work. Among these partners are Beyonce, Kanye West, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Usher, Madonna, Jason Aldean, J. Cole, and Daft Punk, with Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, and Sony Music Group also having equity in the company. Now, TIDAL is now worth $250 million, further boosting Jay-Z’s net worth.
