Of course, everyone knows Jamie Foxx began his career as a standup comedian. But, his rise to fame came with his self-titled sitcom, “The Jamie Foxx Show.” That series followed the life of a young man pursuing a music career, while managing life, and finding love.

Jamie Foxx did what was considered impossible, at the time, and continued pursuing a music career. What was considered impossible was him rising to the top of the music industry. At the same time, he didn’t miss a beat, as a comedian, actor, and a host.

Over the years, Jamie Foxx has proved that it is possible to do it all, if a person is truly capable of it. Now, he is returning to his sitcom roots, starring in a new sitcom, “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me,” where he plays opposite Kyla-Drew, who plays his daughter Sasha, and David-Alan Grier, who plays his character, Brian’s, father, and Porscha Coleman will play his sister. The series sees him reunite with Bentley Kyle Evans, who he will serve as Executive Producer with, roles they played on “The Jamie Foxx Show.”

“Dad Stop Embarrassing Me” will premiere, globally, on Netflix, on April 14. There will be eight thirty-minute episodes, rounding out season one.
