It is award season and many names from the culture have been front and center. The next award show is back on TV One, the Trumpet Awards, which celebrates African-American accomplishments. This year, they are planning for the biggest event yet.
Jamie Foxx has been a mover and shaker in the industry for close to three decades. An actor, comedian, singer, and producer, Jamie Foxx made his rounds in the game. His accomplishments have not gone unnoticed by those around him.
Both Jamie Foxx and Janelle Monae will be honored at the 23rd Annual Trumpet Awards, which air on TV One on February 21 at 8 pm EST. Laila Ali and Dolvett Quince are hosting the show, which will also spotlight those who have defied the odds. Rocsi Diaz will host the pre show, meanwhile performances will come from Chante Moore, Ruben Studdard, and many more.
