Jamie Foxx caught what Stephen A. Smith said about Ben Simmons and he heard enough. Ben Simmons faced a lot of controversy, due to his career. When Ben Simmons was drafted, some said he was the next LeBron James. Instead Ben Simmons has refused to make even minor changes.

Ben Simmons was supposed to be the player to lead the Philadelphia 76ers into the future. While Ben Simmons played for the Sixers, they made the playoffs four straight years. However, Joel Embiid was the one leading the team, and they never made it past the second round.

Ben Simmons essentially gave up during Game 7 against the Atlanta Hawks, last year. Sixers’ fans blame Ben Simmons for the 76ers losing a series they were expected to easily win. After Ben Simmons received backlash, he refused to report to the Philadelphia 76ers. Ben Simmons was ultimately traded to the Brooklyn Nets for James Harden. Still Ben Simmons had yet to play a game, this season. With the Nets facing elimination, Ben Simmons didn’t play in Game 4, against the Celtics.

When Stephen A. Smith learned Ben Simmons wasn’t playing in Game 4, he went off. Among other insults, Stephen A. Smith called Ben Simmons the most pathetic person in the history of sports. While most sports fans would agree, Jamie Foxx had a problem with this. Jamie Foxx said that Ben Simmons is a human and he plays basketball. Because of this, Jamie Foxx felt Stephen A. Smith was too harsh with his words. Jamie Foxx had a problem with Stephen A using all of those insults, but never speaking on NFL or MLB players like that.
