Tonight’s episode of “Empire” saw everything come full circle. Sides have changed, continuously, but the Jamal/Lucious (Jussie Smollett, Terrence Howard) rivalry was renewed. Once again, his sexuality was the basis of their tension.
Jamal, as “Empire” viewers know, is currently dealing with D Major (Tobias Truvillion), who is on the down-low. Lucious caught wind of this and told Jamal how he knows about it. This led to Lucious and Jamal having yet another argument, where words were exchanged.
Lucious told Jamal he’d celebrate the day he died of AIDS, just as Carol (Tasha Smith) told Freda Gatz (Bre-Z) that Lucious killed her father (Chris Rock). Angry, Freda stole a security guard’s gun and tried to shoot Lucious, but Jamal stepped in the way of the bullet, getting shot in the stomach and losing a lot of blood. Now, Lucious is repentant and Twitter is going off.
