J. Cole is definitely one of the best rappers of all-time, and has plenty of classic records under his belt. One of the most notable ones was 2014’s “No Role Modelz.” This originally appeared on his third studio album, “2014 Forest Hills Drive.”
No Role Modelz is still a popular Cole record that is garnering a lot of streams. According to Chart Data, it is now the first song in US Spotify history to chart for six total years. This has reached a total of 2,190 days.
No Role Modelz peaked at number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and is 6x platinum in the US. 2014 Forest Hills Drive was Cole’s third consecutive number one album, and is 3x platinum in the US. No Role Modelz also had one of the most popular opening lyrics to a song of the 2010s, with “First things first, rest in peace Uncle Phil. For real, you the only father that I ever knew.”
Cole is also fresh off of a hot 2021, where he finally put out his “The Off-Season” album, and was his first project in three years. That became his sixth straight number one album, and is nominated for four Grammys, in 2022.
