People have a lot of jokes about Murder Inc., but those people made a lot of money. Forget how it ended, these guys had one of hip hop’s most-memorable four year runs in history. Nothing can take away from the hits Ja Rule gave to the game.
Most younger rappers acknowledge him for being the master of the rap/sing style. Nearly every rapper in the game uses it, but Drake took it to new heights. It’s been years since Murder Inc. was on top, but Ja recently said he and Ashanti have a double album in store.
Irv Gotti has even bigger plans, however, as he’s taking those old hits on the road. Often, Ashanti is booked up, and sometimes Ja Rule comes out to perform with her. Now, Irv Gotti has announced he’s partnered with Live Nation to do a summer 2019 tour with his old crew.
