Nipsey Hussle’s funeral will be taking place this Thursday in his hometown of Los Angeles at the STAPLES Center. Tickets were available for free to the public online this morning but quickly ran out in less than 20 minutes. The arena holds 21,000 people.
A petition on Change.org recently surfaced about renaming the intersection of LA’s Slauson Avenue and Cresnshaw Boulevard to Nipsey Hussle Boulevard. A tribute to Nipsey on this intersection will happen.
South LA City Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson is filing a motion to rename the intersection “Ermias `Nipsey Hussle’ Asghedom Square.” This is very fitting considering how much work Nipsey done for his community in LA.
Nipsey will also be regarded as one of the best west coast artists of all-time. Recently, his debut studio album ‘Victory Lap‘ was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Check out Councilman Harris-Dawson’s announcement below.
