Last summer, Iggy Azalea finally broke through on the mainstream. For two years, Iggy Azalea was bubbling under, working with T.I. on various projects. Through this period of time, Iggy Azalea burned through several record deals.
In the months following her breakout success, Iggy Azalea soon faced immense backlash. This backlash is something she is still facing, despite the time that has passed. Last fall, Iggy Azalea found herself in Twitter beefs with Snoop Dogg and Eminem.
This summer, Iggy Azalea is not dominating radio like she was. However, she is still making an impact on the game via Jidenna, who is owning the summer with “Classic Man,” a familiar sounding tune. The track sounds eerily similar to Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” which a fan pointed out on Twitter, leading Iggy to tell him the song is a sample and she is receiving a portion of the profits.
