Since the days of being a “Cop Killer,” Ice T has turned himself into a wholesome media figure, starring in a lead role as a cop on one of the many “Law & Order” spin-offs. Recently, fans were granted the opportunity to get to know Ice T on a personal level. Last year, Ice T joined the Kardashian family on E! with his own reality show, “Ice Loves CoCo.”

Whether he is performing live, starring in music videos, scripted programs, or reality shows, Ice T has spent his entire career in front of the camera. However, Ice T developed an interest in being behind the camera, much like fellow West Coast rapper, Ice Cube. Entering the field of directing, Ice Cube put together a documentary, Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap.

Ice T recently discussed his documentary with HipHopOfficial.com. During the interview, Ice T said his goal was for the film to make it to Sundance. When the movie made it to the film festival, Ice T said it was a big deal, but he was then afraid the people would not like it. Those fears easily went away when the film premiered and Ice T saw the people applauding.
