Ice Cube talks 2Pac compared to Kendrick, New “Friday” sequel, and Walk of Fame star with #TheCruzShow [VIDEO]

Had there been no Ice Cube, there’s a good chance there’d be no gangsta rap the way people know it today. It’s funny how vital every role is and the history it makes. If not for the efforts of Ice Cube, and his decision to leave NWA, Tupac’s story would be much different.

Much more publicized than Ice Cube’s Ruthless departure, and new label, was Dr. Dre. He bolted from Ruthless to form Death Row, creating nothing but stars and hits. The last act added was Tupac and he was their last high-selling album.

Ice Cube stopped by “The Cruz Show” to speak to J Cruz at Power 106 about Tupac. He spoke on the comparisons Kendrick Lamar is getting to Tupac, which are not all the way fair. While there, Ice Cube also spoke on the new Friday film and his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
