Ice Cube Blasts Warner Bros. For Refusing To Make More “Friday” Movies; Warner Also Won’t Let Cube Have Rights To The Movies in Order To Make The Sequels Somewhere Else

Fans of the classic “Friday” movie series have been craving a third one for a very long time. The previous one was “Friday After Next” back in 2002.  The films have ran into some latest setbacks though after the passing of both Tommy Lister and John Witherspoon. Ice Cube is also dealing with some issues with Warner Bros regarding creating more Friday sequels.

Cube just took to his social media feeds to call out Warner for refusing to create any more Friday movies. The west coast legend said to #FreeFriday and Warner has hi-jacked the “happiness of the culture.”

Sources close to TMZ have also reported that Cube has had issues with Warner about this for years. Warner also owns the rights to the Friday movies and has no interest in making any more at all. They also don’t even want to give Cube the rights to these so he can go ahead and make more Friday movies with someone else.

Hopefully, this can get resolved soon. The first two Friday films were classics and a new one could definitely bring back the nostalgia of 1995 and 2002. New fans would also be exposed to what viewers have loved for over two decades now.
