During the summer of 2012, Hit-Boy rose to fame as one of the biggest producers in the game. Mastering the art of production, Hit-Boy also decided to also begin rapping, following in the footsteps of Kanye West. Hit-Boy is a member of Kanye West’s popular outfit, G.O.O.D. Music.
Forming a crew was the smartest thing Kanye West did, as a label executive. Boasting the likes of Pusha T and Big Sean on the label, harnessing all the talent for one album put G.O.O.D. Music miles ahead of the competition. With Hit-Boy making the beats, many rank Cruel Summer as 2012’s best album.
Q104.7’s “Rico and Mambo Morning Show” spoke to Hit-Boy and he discussed being a part of the G.O.O.D. Music movement. Hit-Boy also talked about producing on good kid, m.A.A.d. city by Kendrick Lamar. Come next year, Hit-Boy will also be working with Britney Spears, which he also discussed.
