Among the newer movements rising to prominence in hip hop is Tha Alumni, led by Kid Ink. The breakout star from the clique is Vee Tha Rula, who represents Phoenix. He has been putting in work for some time and has built a big following.
Earlier this year, Vee Tha Rula delivered his From The Jump mixtape, which includes the “Gang” single. Boasting a Kid Ink feature, the song enjoyed success as a moderate hit. While he has had some success, there is much more in store for him.
Recently, Carlos Cureno sat down with Vee Tha Rula for an exclusive interview with Hip-HopVibe.com. During the interview, Vee spoke on the success of Kid Ink and Tha Alumni, before discussing his hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan. While he spoke on From The Jump, he said his big mixtape release is forthcoming and he will be putting a lot into that one.
