Many new names in the rap game are coming from The Bronx and Ricky Bats is among them, as he was released from prison earlier this year. Currently, Ricky Bats is fresh off the release of his new mixtape, Bronx Born, Prison Raised, which details the experiences he has gone through over the past few years.
While still considered a star on the rise, Ricky Bats wasn’t always a rapper on the verge of stardom. Born in The Bronx, Ricky Bats got caught up in the street life and this led to him going to prison. Earlier this year, Ricky Bats was released from prison and got on the straight and narrow with his music.
Ricky Bats recently hosted Hip Hop Vibe at Quad Studios in New York City and discussed his new project. His latest effort, Bronx Born, Prison Raised, is available now and it tells his story. This is a story Ricky Bats decided to share with us, as he detailed his life growing up in The Bronx and his lessons learned while in prison.
