Before reaching his current level of success, Maino was fresh out of prison and one of the most popular street rappers out. In the 2008-2009 period, Maino got mainstream attention, however. Receiving a major assist from 50 Cent helped him get a little push.
Ultimately, Maino found more success as a street artist and he has returned to those roots. During the KOB 3 promo run, Maino talked to Hip Hop Vibe about the record. Since then, Maino has done several shows and made plenty of appearances.
Recently, Hip Hop Vibe’s newest addition to the team, K. Knight, caught up with Maino when he was in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He went back over the KOB 3 project, but he also discussed some other projects. During the interview, he announced music videos for “Harder Than Them” and “Pussy Nigga Problems,” before revealing a TV project he is working on.

Can you tell us some of the things you have coming up? “You can expect “Go Harder Than Them” and “PNP Problems” videos to drop soon. But I have other projects I’m working on that are not music related. I have a television project I’m developing but I don’t wanna talk about that too much but I’m not staring in it but more on the creativity side.”
