A pioneer of this thing known as hip hop is Kool DJ Red Alert, commonly referred to as simply DJ Red Alert. Back when DJ-ing was truly an artform, Kool DJ Red Alert shined bright and helped hip hop gain its footing. Four decades after the fact, Kool DJ Red Alert continues to play a big role in the game.
Kool DJ Red Alert has played a much bigger role than just DJ-ing in his historic career. At one point, he even headed up his own management company when there were few options for hip hop artists. He also served as a local radio DJ in New York City for over a decade, putting together an impressive overall resume.
During the 2014 Global Spin Awards, Kool DJ Red Alert talked to Hip Hop Vibe. Only speaking for a brief minute, Kool DJ Red Alert broke down the importance of the award show. The iconic hip hop figure praised the Global Spin Awards and all of the DJs present for the ceremony.
